SRA – High-Performance Shrinkage-Reducing and Concrete Permeability-Reducing Admixture
SRA is a high-performance shrinkage-reducing and permeability-reducing admixture, composed of a polymeric acrylic dispersion. Its primary function is to reduce drying shrinkage by up to 85% in industrial concrete floors, compression layers, cementitious mixtures, and other concrete structures, while also significantly enhancing the final appearance of concrete floors.
Benefits:
Reduces drying shrinkage and cracking in concrete and mortar – SRA acts on the water surface tension in concrete, reducing surface stress and facilitating evaporation. This leads to a significant reduction in drying shrinkage, preventing crack formation and increasing the durability of concrete.
Decreases permeability – SRA reduces the permeability of concrete, making it more resistant to water penetration and other liquids. This is particularly beneficial in high-humidity environments or where chemical exposure is common.
Facilitates the finishing process – SRA enhances workability, making concrete finishing easier and providing a smoother, more level surface.
Improves workability of concrete and cementitious mixtures – SRA enhances concrete fluidity, making it easier to apply and mold, which is especially useful for complex shapes and hard-to-reach areas.
Does not alter concrete mechanical strength at recommended dosages – When used in the manufacturer’s recommended dosage, SRA does not affect the mechanical strength of the concrete.
Increases adhesion between concrete and substrate (overlays) – SRA improves bonding between new and old concrete layers, making it ideal for overlay applications.
Low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions – SRA is a low-VOC product, ensuring environmental safety and worker health protection.
Applications:
High-Performance Concrete Floors
Cold Storage Concrete Floors
Concrete Pavements
Precast Concrete Elements
Jointless Concrete Floors
Greased Post-Tensioned Strand Concrete Floors
Forklift High-Traffic Floors (minimizing shrinkage joint width)
Concrete Floors with High Durability and Low Permeability Requirements
Overlays – New Concrete Over Old Concrete
Application Method:
Add SRA directly into the concrete mixer truck, following the dosage specifications outlined in the project.
After homogenizing other components, mix for 1 to 3 minutes until fully blended.
Consumption:
Minimum: 0.5% of the total cement weight in the mix
Maximum: 2% of the total cement weight in the mix
