AC BONDING - High-Performance Acrylic Adhesive (HPAC)
AC BONDING is a high-performance acrylic adhesive that can be used in various applications. It is specially developed as a chemical bonding agent between cementitious substrates (overlays) and in cement-based setting mortars and roughcast coatings.
Benefits:
Excellent adhesion between concrete substrates and rough surfaces – AC BONDING ensures a strong bond between new and old concrete, preventing delamination and detachment.
Easy application – The product is easy to apply using a backpack sprayer or brush, diluted in water.
Reduces substrate permeability – AC BONDING makes concrete less permeable to water and other liquids, increasing its durability.
Minimizes crack formation in cold joints – Helps prevent cracks at the interface between different concrete layers.
Improves mortar and roughcast workability – Makes mortars easier to mix, apply, and work with.
Increases mortar resistance to peeling – Enhances the pull-off strength of mortars, preventing detachment of coatings.
High coverage efficiency – AC BONDING is a high-yield product, meaning less material is needed to cover the same area.
Applications:
Bonding bridge between old and new concrete floors or any concrete structures
Resurfacing of slabs, floors, and pavements (overlays)
Bonding bridge at concrete pouring interruptions (new/old interface)
Traditional, sprayed, or rolled roughcast coatings
Setting mortars for ceramic tiles and natural stones
Rendering mortars for interior and exterior areas
Stucco for floors and walls
How to Use:
Chemical Bonding Bridge:
Dilute AC BONDING 1:1 with water and apply to the existing floor (rough or scarified surface – mechanical anchoring), previously saturated with water.
Apply the diluted AC BONDING with a backpack sprayer, and immediately pour the new concrete (overlay) over the existing floor.
Repairs / Tile Setting / Coatings:
Repairs should have a maximum thickness of 0.5 cm, using AC BONDING diluted 1:2 or 1:3 as the mixing water for mortars.
Apply the repair mortar to a clean, porous, and dust- or oil-free surface.
Roughcast Coatings:
Slow-setting cement (CP III and CP IV) is not recommended.
Recommended mix ratio: 1 part Portland cement to 3 parts medium sand (1:3).
Spray the diluted AC BONDING (1:2 with water) onto a pre-moistened surface using a brush.
Apply the roughcast coating using mixing water diluted 1:2 with AC BONDING.
Setting Mortars:
Recommended mix ratio: 1 part Portland cement to 3 parts dry, sieved medium sand (1:3).
Spray the diluted AC BONDING (1:2 with water) onto a pre-moistened surface using a brush.
Use AC BONDING diluted 1:3 with water as the mixing water for the setting mortar.
